DMX Media Player

Light, effects and mechanics – frame-accurately in sync with the video.

A show lives on interplay: at the very moment the video reaches a climax, the lighting should change. A separate lighting console makes that cumbersome – a DMX media player handles both from one device.

The CF Player® outputs DMX directly and handles Art-Net over the network. Lighting, effects and media playback thus run exactly on beat – reliably repeatable, day after day. Made in Germany.

DMX lighting control in sync with video playback

Light on the beat of the media – from one source

Instead of programming video and light separately, you store the DMX scenes directly in the CF Player®'s playback. Every cue thus sits frame-accurately on the image – without drift, without manual re-triggering.

Via Art-Net you also reach large setups with many DMX universes. And because the player runs frame-accurately in sync as a group anyway, the light stays on beat even across multiple screens.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about the DMX media player

What is a DMX media player?

A DMX media player not only plays back video and audio, but simultaneously sends DMX signals to lighting and effect equipment. Lighting and media run in exact sync from one device – without a separate lighting console.

Does the CF Player® also support Art-Net?

Yes. The CF Player® outputs DMX directly and handles Art-Net over the network. This makes it possible to address large lighting setups with many universes too – in sync with media playback.

Can it switch relays and devices in addition to light?

Yes. In addition to DMX and Art-Net, the CF Player® switches motors and loads via relays and controls projectors, displays and third-party devices via RS232 and UDP – all on the beat of the video.
